Week Two

Day 1 - August 3, 1999
This being a four day weekend, my captors had entirely too much time to spend tormenting me.  After a good thrashing, the plug finally relented and has asked to surrender to me.  I told it I will test its loyalty to me, but having it jump out of the hole whenever requested to plug the drain.  Meanwhile the people in the drain are talking to me again!  I couldn't be happier (except if I could escape my captors....)!!  I always get such great ideas from them.  My captors laugh whenever they see me listening and watching the people in the drain, but they obviously haven't got my supreme sense of hearing and sight, because they do not seem to understand what I'm doing -- which is, of course, perfect.

Because it was so hot, I slept much of the weekend -- I had to be rested for Monday night, since my captors had to work Tuesday.  Plan went off without a hitch: I managed to keep Him up most of the night, just by simply cleaning myself right next to his ear -- loudly.  Had to laugh when one of Their friends actually tried to walk through the screen door.  Obviously, it's there to trick anyone who visits as well as any captives.

The fish splashed me as I walked by on Saturday, when They were out.  I attempted to open the container of "bleach" (I've overheard them say it can be deadly), to dump into the tank, but couldn't work the lid.  Blasted paws!!

Feedings have been more plentiful lately.  I think they might actually be fattening me up for a meal!!  I must plan my escape soon!

Day 2 - August 4, 1999
Yesterday was somewhat boring, and my captors went out without me again, so I was forced to amuse myself.  First thing I did was pull the towels down off the racks in the bathroom, but that really wasn't very satisfying, so I went to the bathtub drain to see if the people in the drain had any ideas.  They suggested beating up the plug, so I did that for a while, until it begged for mercy -- then I slammed it into the wall once more and stuffed it under the living room easy chair (maybe THIS time it will starve to death!)

When my captors returned home, they proceeded to ignore me, no matter how cute or insistent or irresistible I became.  I even tried staring at the light box as they did, but after a couple minutes, I found my brain softening, and had to stop.  I can't figure out why they stare at it so much!  I decided to practice my hunting skills with my artificial mouse.  I always feel so energetic and "up" when I play with it... and it smells nifty too... in fact, I'm kind of craving it right now... ...

OK I'M BACK AND I'M HAPPY!!!! I LOVE THAT MOUSE!!  I BATTED IT AROUND AND CHEWED IT FOR A WHILE, THEN THREW IT IN THE AIR AND THREW IT AGAINST THE WALL THEN RAN AFTER IT AND PICKED IT UP THEN THREW IT AROUND AGAIN THEN RAN AFTER IT AGAIN ThEn I cHaSeD aFtEr it some more and then I had to stop because I thought I was going to explode...  hmm man I'm hungry now... think I'll go find something to eat...

As I approached my food dish, the fish flipped away from it back into the tank, and their deadly water shield.  I'll have to lay a trap if they're actually going to steal my food....

Day 3 - August 5, 1999
I stayed up all night watching the light forks in the sky.  I would have enjoyed it, but She just HAD to sit there with me most of the night, bugging and distracting me.  Nevertheless, I managed to get a few good shots in and she eventually left me alone.

Something has happened to the drain people.  And the bathtub area.  For some reason the tiles that were there are gone now, and the metal faucets are gone too.  The drain people seem to have moved away, possibly scared?  They left some wonderful white flakes when they left though.  They taste great and I get all dizzy and light-headed when I eat a bunch, too!  It's almost as good as catnip!  I hope they come back...

The fish have nothing to antagonize me in the last day, so I just KNOW they're up to something!

All in all, though, yesterday was uneventful.  I even got fed on time for once!  I wonder what They're up to?

Day 4 - August 6, 1999
The people in the drain are back!!!  They must have gone out to get supplies to redecorate the bathroom, because along with their return, they brought a man to put up some nice new wall coverings.  They refuse to talk about that though, so I'm just guessing...

I once again ran out of food this morning... He shall be punished severely for this, even though He refilled my dish as soon as He got up.  Nevertheless, I have extracted a partial revenge by racing up the stairs, banging into the screen in the bedroom, racing back out and down that stairs, crashing around down there, then repeating the cycle at least 20 or 30 times.  You see why I am so perfect?  I can be perfectly quiet when I choose to be, and thunderously loud when I want, as well.  And I'm so beautiful and cute.  How can you not love me?  I am so perfect....

But I digress... He must also be punished for stepping on my tail (my beautiful tail!) when I was simply trying to attract His attention by standing directly in His path, then moving right under His feet as He took a step.  How DARE he?!  Fortunately, They have forgotten about my precious weapons, which I have carefully honed to razor sharpness; I slashed out his leg as he walked away.  Of course then he muttered something about the whereabouts of "the nail clippers" to Her... I think I may have made a lapse in judgement...

The fish tank water level has been steadily falling (the fish, I believe, have a drinking problem).  Soon, their deadly water shield will be gone -- and they will soon follow.  (Their steady stream of profanities, directed at me, will finally come to an end)

    I can't find the plug.
