Week Eight

Tuesday - October 12, 1999
OK so it's been a long time since I wrote last, but my captors have been keeping me busy, and yet at the same time nothing much has happened -- until last weekend.

That dog I've mentioned before that we go visit once in a while was actually allowed to stay in MY home. My captors even went so far as to threaten me with bodily harm if I even so much as hissed at it. So of course, I just did it when They weren't in the room. Of course, the stupid thing HAD to sleep in the bedroom with us, blocking my entrance or exit (depending on what side of the dog I happened to be on when it chose to barricade the room).

I did extract a little revenge on the last night though. It was sleeping on the stairs and I snuck up and punched it in the nose. No claws, no revealing marks (because They would surely know it was me then!), but I managed to scare the living crap out of it. God I'm good! It yelled so loud that my captors woke up and raced downstairs. Of course, I was long gone, but that didn't stop them from putting me in solitary for a while.

I'm innocent I tell ya! They can't prove anything!!

I must get them for this!

In lieu of a journal entry today, we'd like to present you all with a great little program sent in by one of our readers: Christine Waugh. While she did not program it, she DID find it, and we felt it looks so much like Max, it HAD to be sent out. It is also available on the website at the home page and in the pictures section.

We've attached it to this issue. It's guaranteed virus-free (I've checked it a few times with my very thorough virus scanner). Simply save it to your PC then run it with all your other programs closed or minimized. Soon you'll see a cat, just like Max, wandering around doing things. And I'd like to remind you that even though it looks like this cat is getting into trouble, this is basically Max on his BEST behaviour (so now you know what we deal with, day-to-day).

Max and I hope you all enjoy!!
